    Call ISLC Middle School at (323) 763-4500 if you need a device.  We are available every day from 8 am - 2:30 pm to distribute devices.  It is recommended that every student should have their own hotpot!  If your child needs a hotspot call to order & when it arrives ISLC let you know it is ready for pick up.

    CSU Portals

    If you applied to a CSU earlier, you should already have received emails from most schools with instructions for how to access your student center in your portal. If you haven’t received these emails, check your email on a computer and look in all folders since you can access more folders on a computer than your phone.  See Ms. Kawamoto with any questions about portals. It is very important you check your student center to-do list several times a week.  

    HEY Dragons!  You know you can go to college, right?!?! We know the process may seem confusing and different. Fortunately we have made the process simple for you. Take a second and check these videos out and APPLY to a CSU or UC before the deadlines. The best part is that you don’t even have to have an SAT or ACT score this year.  You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take…take your shot, we got your back!!     As of 12/3, 76 out of our 81 seniors (94%) have already submitted a financial aid application and 47 of our 81 seniors (58%) have already submitted a college application! Great job seniors! You are on your way!  We’re proud of you!

    7th Grade ISLC Dragon Angela Estrada was celebrated by the mayor of South Gate on October 3, 2020 for founding the Little Library on Aldrich Road.  Come visit to leave a book or take a book!  We are SO proud of you, Angela, for supporting literacy and service  in our community!

    Warren Christopher Scholarship Runner-Up Awardee

    Congratulations to 11th Grader Miles Recio who has been recognized as a “Runner-Up” for the Warren Christopher Scholarship Award. Miles will be awarded with a $500 scholarship upon graduation from high school and enrollment in college. Congratulations Miles!!

    ISLC's 2020 Advanced Placement results are in!  ISLC is proud to report 97% of students that registered in the fall, took the exams.  ISLC's AP English Literature scores for 2020 are 7% above California's and the Global average passing rate.  AP Spanish Language 2020 scores were at 100% passing rate!!!  

    Congrats to our hard working AP students, teachers, and counselors!

    ISLC places 2nd in its size division for the 2020-2021 STATE WIDE Race to Submit!

    The 2020-21 Race to Submit is a statewide campaign that aims to increase the number of financial aid applications for California high school seniors who complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and California Dream Act Application.

    Please join us in congratulating Emely Juarez Class of 2020 on her Lifetime Perfect Attendance Award!  ABC 7 Disney Channel reporter Eric Resendiz will interview her and her parents for being recognized for not missing a day of school and not every arriving late to class during her K-12 educational journey--a feat accomplished by a short list of LAUSD alumni.  We expect the TV news segment to air during the upcoming days.     Middle School robotics students have placed as finalists in the G4C Challenge Games, a national video game challenge. Wow!!  Winners will be announced at an online ceremony that all are invited to attend.  The Dragon finalists are:
