Seniors! Are You Checking Your College Portals?
If you applied to a four-year university, be sure you are checking each of your college portals at least twice a week. Visit your student center in your portal to view your to do list items. Confused? That’s normal! See Ms. Kawamoto for support. Many of you have likely been selected for financial aid verification which requires you to submit documents with a deadline. Check carefully and get started right away. Make sure you’ve requested a tax transcript if you were unable to use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool on the FAFSA. Reach out for help!
Cal Grant Deadline
Seniors! If you haven’t yet submitted your FAFSA, NOW is the time! You must submit a FAFSA or CA Dream Act Application by March 2nd to be considered for a Cal Grant. Make an appointment with Ms. Kawamoto today to complete your FAFSA.
Seniors Considering Mount St. Mary’s
Attention seniors who applied or plan on applying to Mount St. Mary’s:
Register for an interview time with MSMU that works best for you and the representative will ensure you have your Application Fee and Letter of Recommendation requirements waived. The rep will also work with you individually to either provide an on-the-spot or expedited decision.
Seniors may use this registration link to sign up: https://app.acuityscheduling.com/schedule.php?owner=17768083&appointmentType=18040526

CSU Portals
If you applied to a CSU earlier, you should already have received emails from most schools with instructions for how to access your student center in your portal. If you haven’t received these emails, check your email on a computer and look in all folders since you can access more folders on a computer than your phone. See Ms. Kawamoto with any questions about portals. It is very important you check your student center to-do list several times a week.
